Wednesday 10th July, 2013 at Brewood.
First thing every morning, M makes herself a cup of tea. Today as the kettle on MM began to "pipe up", there was an answering synchronised whistle from the kettle on "Zodiak" moored right behind us. Great timing!
How clear and still the water is early in the morning. Truly it is a magical time of day on the waterways.
Just after breakfast, Mick and Jackie departed to the south. Tonight they will moor at Gailey on their way down to Nuneaton, where they will leave "Zodiak" at the marina for a while to have solar panels fitted. It has been so much fun to have the two boats together at last! Everything is fun with Mick and Jackie!
It was slightly cooler and overcast today, yet still very pleasant. However, it was clear that the weather still suited the cats from the boat opposite as they basked in the morning sun.
We decided to stay put for the day as we have plenty of time in hand and this is a vey pleasant mooring with nice views. We did a few jobs around MM but generally had a very quiet and relaxing "day off".
Today: Just 3.3 hours to charge the batteries.
