Monday 8th October, 2012 in Reading.
An early start. R left before 7:00am to walk to the station. After such a relaxed summer, it was hard getting up in the dark!
R's consultancy job necessitated a trip to Lowdham Grange Prison in Nottingham for a meeting. M remarked that, what with our mooring behind Reading Goal and our visits last year to "The Scrubs," we are rather becoming prison "habitue's!"
R was away all day, so M had the rare luxury of a day all to herself. Did she relax? No, she industriously busied herself with the duster and polishing cloths, cleaning MM from stem to stern inside. She might have done the outside too, had it not rained all day.
R arrived back for supper and said that the River Thames in Goring was running so fast that we could not have made any headway against it. So, it looks as if we will be forced to wait on the K&A until the Thames water level goes down.
Today: Just 2.5 hours to charge the batteries.
